walk together

"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help." Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

I have been blessed with good friends. Over the past week, I had lunch with two of them and I was reminded about the power and importance of walking with others.

As we navigate through the highs and lows of life, it is all too easy to try and do it all on our own. But as Christians, we are called to walk together on this shared journey of faith. Together, we are stronger, wiser, and more capable of fulfilling God's purpose for our lives. We are not meant to journey alone. We are meant to encourage, support, and uplift one another. The passage in Ecclesiastes reminds us of this truth.

In fact, throughout the Bible, we see the importance of walking together in faith. In Proverbs 27:17, we read, "Iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens the wits of another." Just as iron sharpens iron, we can sharpen one another spiritually and emotionally. By walking together, we can help each other grow in our faith, hold each other accountable, and learn from one another's experiences.

In Galatians 6:2, we are reminded to "Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." God calls us to share each other's burdens and provide a helping hand to those in need. We are not meant to carry our struggles alone, but instead, we can find strength and comfort in walking alongside our brothers and sisters in faith.

So, what does it look like to walk together on our faith journey? It starts with intentional and authentic relationships. It means being there for one another in times of need, offering a listening ear, and providing a helping hand. It also means being vulnerable and open with our struggles and allowing others to support us in our journey. I confess this is not always easy for me, UGH!

We can walk together by actively participating in our faith community. Whether it's through attending events, church, small groups, or serving in ministry. We can meet for a meal, or go for coffee or tea, and pray for each other. These are all opportunities to connect with others and grow in our faith together.

Our shared journey of faith is not just about us and our personal relationship with God. It is a SHARED JOURNEY. It is about the community of believers that we are a part of. By walking together, we can overcome any challenge, celebrate each other's victories, and glorify God in all that we do.

Be encouraged to meet up with friends, find joy, and walk the journey together!
